For You Today Them Tomorrow

Creating an audio keepsake is gift for you, too.

It's a rare and meaningful opportunity to reflect on your life, to remember all you've lived and learned, and to affirm the things that matter most.

Let your voice, rich with authenticity and heart, be a bridge across generations.

  • 8 Benefits of Audio Keepsakes vs. Handwriting

  • 1. Comfort First

    Audio storytelling removes the physical strain of writing or typing. There's no need to grip a pen or sit at a computer — just relax, speak, and share.

  • 2. Faster and Easier

    Speaking is often much faster than writing by hand, especially for those with joint stiffness or limited dexterity. You can cover more ground in less time.

  • 3. Emotion in Your Voice

    Your voice carries warmth, personality, and nuance — laughter, pauses, even tears — all the things handwriting can’t fully express. It’s a more vivid, emotionally resonant experience for your loved ones.

  • 4. No Need to Edit or Perfect

    There’s no pressure to “get it right” or “write well.” You don’t need to worry about spelling, grammar, or penmanship — just speak from the heart. We'll guide you the entire way.

  • 5. Professional Support

    You’re not doing it alone. With a guided conversation, gentle prompts, and expert recording, you’ll be supported from beginning to end — no blank pages or frustration.

  • 6. Easily Shared and Preserved

    Audio files can be saved, copied, and shared with loved ones without risk of fading ink or lost papers. They’re durable, portable, and accessible across generations.

  • 7. More Natural for Memory Recall

    Speaking aloud often makes it easier to remember stories and reflect deeply. It can feel like a conversation — not a chore — which opens up richer storytelling.

  • 8. Accessible Across Ages and Abilities

    Whether for elders with arthritis, visual impairments, or memory concerns, audio recording offers a gentle, inclusive way to preserve legacy.

“You have stirred up stuff in me that needed to come out, needed to be said, and needs to be heard. You put me in a position to be able to give that gift out.”

-Bob Briscoe, August 2025

FAQs

What is an audio legacy recording?

An audio legacy recording is a professionally recorded and guided conversation where you share your life stories, wisdom, values, and heartfelt messages. It’s a way to pass down your voice — not just your memories — for generations to come.

What do I need to prepare?

To help your physical body, heart, and mind prepare — prior to your recording session you’ll receive a one-page PDF document asking individuals to be rested, intentional, and have reflected on legacy discussion topics.

You will not have to write or research anything prior to the session. The answers live in your heart and our goal is to help bring those nuggets of gold and pearls of wisdom to the surface for others to enjoy and reflect upon.

This process should feel comfortable and immediate, meaningful and profound, and enjoyable.

I’m not a good speaker — will I sound okay?

Our process is relaxed and conversational to ensure your voice is captured full of wisdom and life. Professionally recorded to ensure a polished beautifully real sound.

How long does recording take?

Every individual has their own stories and unique way of sharing; some folxs talk fast and others are more contemplative.

We offer two types of recording sessions:

  • Legacy Refined: Up to six (6) hours of audio recording split between three (3) individual in-depth guided interview sessions

  • Legacy Guided: One extended same-day interview session up to four (4) hours which can be split up morning, afternoon, or evening to accommodate rest and care team needs.

Will you share the recording with my family after my death?

Yes, we can arrange this for you and them.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Cash, credit, Venmo, and checks payable to Walk On Red Productions LLC.

Who is this for?

Individuals, couples, and senior living communities that want to capture or leave something deeply meaningful for loved ones, neighbors, and the wider community:

  • Divorcées with adult children looking to set the record straight;

  • Out-of-state adult child wants to record Dad at family home;

  • Grandchildren pool funds to record Grandma’s stories for the family archive;

  • The “black sheep” of the family wants to share what really happened

  • Your best friend purchases a session to record you and your adventures;

Will you interview Mom in hospice?

Yes, our process is designed for immediacy and end-of-life care in mind. Our mobile studio is carried in a backpack to keep us nimble, unobtrusive, and quiet.

Additionally, we received background study clearance from the Department of Human Services (DHS) in August 2025 to work with vulnerable populations.

After recording, what will me and my family receive?

Contents Include:

  • PDF Read Me File
